Senior User Experience Researcher

SENIOR USER EXPERIENCE RESEARCHEROpen Learning, to work with the product team on identifying, defining, and refining research questions.  Will conduct in-depth user research using multiple methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics to gather insights into user behavior and preferences; create user personas that represent the diverse needs and characteristics of the target audience; plan/execute usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness of prototypes and existing products and provide actionable recommendations for improvement; design/implement A/B tests to measure the impact of design changes or new features on user behavior and satisfaction and derive insights to optimize the user experience; analyze quantitative and qualitative data to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that inform design decisions and enhance overall user experience; work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers, to ensure a user-centric approach throughout the product development lifecycle; assess/iterate on design prototypes, wireframes, and user flows based on user feedback and usability findings; stay updated on industry trends and conduct competitor analysis to identify best practices and opportunities for innovation in the user experience; and effectively communicate research findings and insights to internal stakeholders.

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, psychology, design, or a related field; and at least five years of relevant experience, including use of various research methods and tools and designing/conducting A/B tests.

Salary range:  $120,000 – 130,000, final salary determined by MIT’s compensation team based on skills/experience of the candidate
