The Department of Philosophy of New York University (http://as.nyu.edu/philosophy.html) invites applications for up to four Bersoff Faculty Fellowships, areas of specialization open, to begin September 1, 2025, pending administrative and budgetary approval. This is a one-year appointment possibly renewable for a second year.
Responsibilities include teaching two undergraduate courses per year; both courses may be taught in the same semester, leaving the other semester free to pursue research. In case of an appointment to a second year, one of the two courses may be a graduate seminar.
For a candidate to be eligible, the Ph.D. must be received between September 1, 2020 and August 31, 2025. Applications should include a CV, a writing sample, a research statement, a teaching statement, evidence of teaching ability, and at least three references.

Pay Transparency:
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $60,000.
