The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam is pleased to invite applications for a full-time tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Jazz Studies to begin August 2025. Duties include: directing jazz ensembles and combos, and teaching jazz studies courses; active participation in recruiting prospective students; other courses as determined by the School of Music including those related to SUNY Potsdam’s General Education Program. Student advising, service, and continued professional engagement are expected as part of the position, and this position may require teaching during evening/weekend hours, online, or at off-site locations.
