Edmund C. Merem, a professor in the Urban and Regional Planning Program in the School of Public Policy and Planning at Jackson State University in Mississippi, was named academic editor of the Journal of Advances in Research.

Jackson State University Students to Study Hydrology in Wyoming
The Jackson State students will live on the University of Wyoming campus and do field work in geophysics and water analysis in the Laramie and Snowy mountain ranges. Next year, University of Wyoming students will travel to Mississippi to study organic soil and deciduous forests.

Jackson State University Set to Open New Satellite Campus This Summer
The city of Madison, approximately 15 miles north of Jackson, is predominantly White. The university hopes that the location will help it obtain a threshold where more than 10 percent of its student body is non-Black so it can gain control of a $70 million endowment from the state.

Foster care youth from outside the state of Mississippi can now enroll at the university and pay substantially lower in-state tuition. In-state tuition for certain population groups outside of Mississippi was made possible by a new state law enacted last year.

Glenda Baskin Glover is currently dean of the College of Business at Jackson State University in Mississippi. She has been at Jackson State since 1994. Previously, she was chair of the department of accounting at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
