At the start of the fall 2025 semester, I Dream Big Charter School will open on the Stillman College campus in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The collaboration is the first HBCU-Charter School partnership in the state of Alabama.
The new charter school provides families with a free choice educational option for K-12 students. Initially, the academy will welcome students in grades 6 through 8, with plans to add a grade level each school year. The institution’s curriculum will have a particular focus on technology and entrepreneurship, offering courses in coding, digital design, and business development. Through its collaboration with Stillman College, I Dream Big Charter School will serve as a lab for teacher development and offer early access to college and career opportunities for its students.
“Our partnership with I Dream Big Charter School will not only be a successful resource for our student educators, but also helps lay the foundation for our Cradle-to-Career Model,” said Yolanda Page, president of Stillman College. “Ultimately, at Stillman College, we believe in helping educate tomorrow’s leaders by preparing students from their early years for future careers.”
