Nate Bryant to Lead North Shore Community College in Massachusetts

Nate Bryant has been selected to serve as the interim president of  North Shore Community College in Danvers, Massachusetts. Dr. Bryant will assume his position on July 5, 2020 and will serve through the 2020-21 academic year.

North Shore Community College enrolls more than 5,700 students, according to the latest data supplied to the U.S. Department of Education. African Americans make up 10 percent of the student body.

In accepting the appointment, Dr. Bryant said, “I am honored to serve as the interim president of NSCC. With the advent of COVID-19, higher education is experiencing significant disruption. While there will certainly be some challenges, there will be some opportunities as well. Knowing that I will be working with a team of talented and dedicated educators, I am confident that we will help our students succeed.”

Dr. Bryant currently serves as vice president and chief of staff to the president of Salem State University in Massachusetts. He has been on the staff at Salem State since 1987.

Dr. Bryant Bryant holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in education from Salem State University. He earned a doctorate in higher education from the University of Massachusetts–Boston.
