Kamau Siwatu has been promoted from interim dean to permanent dean of the College of Education at Texas Tech University. A full professor of educational psychology, Dr. Siwatu has held several leadership roles at the college, including chair of the department of educational psychology, leadership, and counseling and interim associate dean for academic affairs. His research is grounded in social cognitive theory and self-efficacy.
Dr. Siwatu holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills, a master’s degree from Florida State University, and a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Courtney Anderson has been promoted from interim dean to permanent dean of the College of Law at Georgia State University. She has been a faculty member with the university for over a decade, holding appointments in the College of Law, the School of Public Health, and the Urban Studies Institute. Before her interim appointment, she was associate dean for academic affairs. A scholar of housing, public health, and social equity, she studies how legal frameworks impact marginalized communities.
Professor Anderson is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she majored in business administration. She holds a master of laws degree in clinical advocacy from Georgetown University Law Center and a juris doctorate from Harvard Law School.
Michael Bolden has been named dean of the School of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley. Throughout his career in journalism, he has served as a local reporter, national editor, educator, and nonprofit leader. Most recently, he has been serving as the chief executive officer and executive director of the American Press Institute. Earlier, he was director of culture and operations at the San Francisco Chronicle. During the pandemic, he co-developed Stanford University’s John S. Knight Journalism Fellowship to improve how journalists serve communities of color.
A graduate of the University of Alabama, Professor Bolden received his master’s degree in liberal arts from Stanford University.

Dr. Wintoki earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Lagos in Nigeria and his doctorate in finance from the University of Georgia.

Dr. Peppers is graduate of UCLA, where she majored in history. She holds a master’s degree in history from California State University, Fullerton, a master of library and information science degree from San José State University, and a doctorate in educational leadership from California State University, Los Angeles.
