Job Summary:
The Levin School of Education and Counseling at Cleveland State University is seeking a faculty member of the highest caliber to fill an Assistant College Lecturer position in the Counseling Program, beginning August 18, 2025. The successful candidate will be working in the largest counselor education program in Northeast Ohio that enrolls a diverse student body and has nationally recognized faculty. They will teach Master’s level courses in CACREP-approved Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling programs. They will also be expected to engage in service, including assisting in coordination of practicum and internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctorate from CACREP-approved doctoral program – Appropriate terminal degree completed by July 1, 2025. Persons who are ABD will be hired at the rank of Instructor;
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a clinical and/or school counselor or related mental health professional in the state of Ohio;
- Evidence of effective graduate level teaching experience in a counselor education program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in human sexuality and counseling LGBTQ+ clients;
- Involvement/affiliation in counseling-related professional organizations;
- Ability to contribute through teaching and/or service to the cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community.
