Tenure faculty (regardless of rank) – persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty member’s tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service and/or teaching or clinical practice. These faculty will have earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience.
Position Overview
The Division of Health Behavior & Health Promotion in the College of Public Health invites well-qualified candidates with demonstrated expertise in health behavior and health promotion in public health for one open rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor) tenure-track faculty position. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative group of faculty dedicated to advancing public health through innovative research, educating the next generation of public health professionals, and engaging in impactful service.
The Division is open to candidates with a research program in health behavior and health promotion. Preference will be given to those working in maternal and child health, global health promotion, structural interventions, digital and AI-informed interventions, behavioral health, and nutrition/wellness. While not a primary focus, we also welcome applicants with expertise in other health behavior and health promotion topics. The successful candidate should demonstrate (1) a record of rigorous and high-impact research and scholarship, appropriate for the rank sought, (2) potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring of public health students, and (3) commitment to the university’s shared values. Visa immigration sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates. Rank and salary will be determined by the candidate’s credentials.
The appointment will begin August 15, 2027. This position requires individuals to work onsite. Occasional remote work may be permitted, but not on a continuous, full-time basis.

Education and Experience Requirements
Required:
- Doctoral degree in public health with a specialization in health behavior, health promotion, behavioral science, or a closely related doctoral degree within public health or practice experience;
- A record of, or potential for, successful independent teaching of undergraduate and/or graduate students using a learner-centered approach that incorporates active learning strategies and technology.
