Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, the AVP will play a significant role in advancing RIT’s strategic goals by developing and implementing recruitment strategies that are both data-driven and relationship-centered. While leveraging advanced technologies and analytics to enhance the admissions process, the AVP must focus on cultivating a team dedicated to engagement, outreach, and connection.
The successful candidate will:
- Work with the Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM) to design and develop creative, effective, and data-driven approaches to meet the university’s enrollment goals.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions Offices for both domestic and international students.
- Align recruitment events and initiatives with both the university and division’s branding and marketing strategies to drive lead generation, application growth, and conversions.
- Work collaboratively with other division leadership to successfully develop and deliver on strategic enrollment goal planning and execution.
- Work with the VPEM, Deans, and program chairs to determine the composition and character of each entering cohort.
- Use data to determine program effectiveness, inform strategic planning, and provide updates to academic departments, senior staff, and the board of trustees.
- Create, support and mentor a culture of inclusivity, professionalism, and excellence.
The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in undergraduate, graduate and/or international admissions, as well as proven leadership in admissions, understanding of enrollment management including student financial aid and enrollment marketing, and acumen with technology and data analysis.
Based on competitive market information and in compliance with NYS’s Pay Transparency Act, the base salary for this position is anticipated to be in the range of $160,000 to $180,000, supplemented by a comprehensive and competitive benefits package. Compensation for the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, market, and organizational considerations.
