Campus Safety

Under the general direction of the Chancellor, plan, develop, coordinate, direct and supervise the district-wide law enforcement activities and operations; perform specialized supervisory and police work; ensure the safety and security of district employees, students, facilities and property; train, supervise and evaluate the performance of the department staff.

Under the direction of the Community College Police chain of command, enforce applicable federal, state, city, county and district laws, enforce rules and regulations governing use of college buildings and grounds.

The Campus Police Officer shall be responsible for the safety and security of all University properties; the faculty, staff, student body; and guests and visitors during the assigned tour of duty.
