Under the direction of the Community College Police chain of command, enforce applicable federal, state, city, county and district laws, enforce rules and regulations governing use of college buildings and ground.

Under the direction of the Community College Police chain of command, positions in this classification are currently attending or will attend California Police Officer Standard Training (P.O.S.T) Academy.

The Patrol Officer trainee position is an entry-level position designed to identify new police recruits.
