Under the general direction of a dean, a Counselor (Non-Contract/Temporary) provides comprehensive counseling, career guidance, and advisement services to students from diverse backgrounds for the purpose of developing and facilitating the attainment of their academic, vocational and personal objectives.

The Executive Director of Business Career Services for the Daniels School of Business leads the Business Career Services team, driving career development and employment initiatives for undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni.

The Program Director, Student and Career Services position directs career advising, internship, and job-related initiatives for undergraduate, graduate students and alumni at the School of Public Health.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean of the College for Co-Curriculum, and in collaboration with other pre-professional advising team members, the Assistant Director of Pre-Professional Advising counsels undergraduates and recent alumni with demonstrated interest in pursuing education and careers in law and in a broad range of health professions, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry, physician assistant, and nursing, among other fields.

The Santa Monica College Faculty Internship Program initiative provides an opportunity for underrepresented and nontraditional candidates to be placed in fields where they can gain opportunities for career exploration.

Under the general supervision of an assigned supervisor, develop employment opportunities for students and provide career and professional development services to students.
