The New President of the College Sports Information Directors of America

Rob Knox, the associate director for athletics communications at Towson University in Maryland was chosen to serve as the 64th president of the College Sports Information Directors of America. He is the second African American to serve as the organization’s leader.

Knox joined the staff of the athletics department at Towson University in 2015. Earlier, he worked at Coppin State University in Baltimore and as a statistics manager for ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut. From 2009 to 2011, Knox was on the staff of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. From 2004 to 2009, Knox was the sports information director at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. Prior to his job at Lincoln, Knox was a sportswriter for the Delaware County Daily Times.

Knox holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from historically Black Lincoln University.
