Instructor (Non-Contract/Temporary) provides comprehensive classroom instruction to students from diverse backgrounds for the purpose of facilitating the attainment of their academic or vocational objectives.

Performs a variety of skilled work in the preparation and maintenance of grounds and athletic fields; installation, maintenance, and repair of sprinkler irrigation systems, and/or the construction of special landscaping or public use areas.

Leads skilled Groundsworkers, Senior Groundsworkers, Truck and Tractor Drivers in the development and care of the campus grounds including athletic practice and playing fields.

The position is responsible for the daily supervision and management of Student Housing and Dining professional maintenance and custodial staff, student workers, subcontractors, operation, development, and maintenance of the college student housing and dining facilities and grounds at the Olympia campus.

Installs, adjusts, maintains, repairs, and replaces keyed, code, and card-read locks, security systems, and related hardware.

The Electrician performs skilled journeyperson level electrical work for the maintenance, repair, alteration and construction of institution facilities and equipment.

Under the direction of the Grounds Superintendent, Grounds Worker Lead, and/or Crew Leader/Ice Rink, performs and maintains skilled grounds work on lawns, beds, landscaping, practice and playing fields and other athletic facilities.

The Construction Manager oversees and coordinates construction administration activities associated with a diverse portfolio of multi-disciplined project work in support of the University’s academic endeavors, community needs, as well as facility and campus infrastructure operating upgrades and renewal.

Supervise the installation, repair, assembly and maintenance of HVAC systems and all HVAC-related equipment ensuring compliance with codes, department instructions, work schedules and quality standards.

Performs skilled journeyperson level work in the maintenance, repair and installation of refrigeration, heating, air conditioning and ventilating systems, and their controls.

Under the general supervision of an assigned manager, an Evening and Weekend Activities Attendant oversees the basic operations of evening/weekend classes and events, including assisting the public and staff in the use of facilities, responding to general public, student and faculty inquiries, and addressing security concerns.

Installs, adjusts, maintains, repairs, and replaces keyed, code, and card-read locks, security systems, and related hardware. Makes keys and installs and ensures continuous working condition of latches, door closing mechanisms, and panic exit devices.

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, supervise and participate in the overall grounds maintenance and underground utility location activities. Coordinate grounds, utility locating and mapping activities with other maintenance functions.
