Grant Administration

The Grants and Financial Coordinator provides high-level administrative pre-and post-award and financial services to the Department of Neuroscience as part of our grant/financial management team.

The Director of the Division of Receipt and Referral serves as an important advisor to the Director, Center for Scientific Review; contributes to the development of major policies affecting funding announcements and the receipt, referral and review of research grant applications; provides advice and consultation to NIH and other HHS components and grantee institutions; and establishes effective procedures to ensure program operations and obligations of government funds and other resources are rendered consistent with statutory and regulatory requirements and within limitations imposed by DHHS and Executive Branch policies.

The Grants and Financial Specialist provides comprehensive high-level grant and financial support for the Division of Biology and Medicine and provides guidance to Research Administration staff regarding allowability, and allocability of charges.

There are two vacant positions in the Office of Sponsored Projects. These vacancies will be filled from the same pool of candidates. The role of Grant/Contract Accountant I or Grant/Contract Accountant II will be offered based on the candidate’s match of qualifications to the job qualifications.

The Grants and Financial Manager will provide high‐level comprehensive pre‐ and post-award management and financial services to the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society (IBES) faculty, staff, and students.
