The Modern Language Department is in the Liberal Arts Division and offers seven modern languages in beginning to advanced classes. The department provides students of every discipline with a range of opportunities for their intellectual and personal enrichment.

ASL courses in traditional settings (In-Person), and/or Remote, Online and Hybrid. The ASL program offers coursework leading to an Associate in Arts for Transfer (AA-T), and an Associate of Arts degree in ASL. Performs specialized secretarial and administrative support duties, including (but not limited to) transcribing of specialized or technical notes, composing of original documents, administration of office routines and systems, processing of financial transactions, and reception.

Performs clerical library duties in a library involving processing and circulation of library materials, basic cataloging, and customer service. Provides information and assistance to library customers.

Plans, organizes, manages, and coordinates goals and activities supporting strategic processes, program development, and measurement of performance outcomes of the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) campus program

Performs vehicle maintenance, rebuild, and fabrication services. Performs a variety of work in the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of light to heavy duty automotive and off-road power and electric equipment.

The Continuing Education Division provides noncredit and fee-based courses on campus and in the community to provide greater access for community participants.

Cerritos College library serves a diverse student population of over 20,000 studying in the more than 60 disciplines offered at the college.

The college's Performing Arts Center, completed in the summer of 2022, includes a mainstage, studio theater, recital hall, makeup labs, and construction and costume shops. The college also maintains a state-of-the-art fine arts complex that includes a gallery and film studio.
